The Bushtit (Psaltriparus minimus) belongs to the family Aegithalidae which includes Bushtits, Long-tailed Tits.
Length. 3.5-4.5 inches
Habitat. Oak woodland and scrubby thickets.
Nesting. Nest is a hanging, gourd-shaped mass of twigs, moss, rootlets, and leaves with entrance near top, ataached to fork of twigs 6-25 ft. above ground. Eggs 5-13, white. Incubation about 12 days, by both sexes. Young leave nest about 2 weeksafter hatching.
Food. Insects and spiders, some berries.
