The Bull Terrier is a strongly built, muscular, well balanced and active dog with a keen, determined and intelligent expression. His unique feature is a downfaced, eggshaped head. The Bull Terrier is the gladiator of the canine race, full of fire and courageous. Of even temperament and amenable to discipline, he can be obstinate but is good with people.

Coat
The coat is short, flat, even and harsh to touch with a fine gloss. A soft textured undercoat may be present in winter.

Color
There are two color varieties: white and colored. White Bull Terriers are pure white in color, with occasional skin pigmentation and markings on the head. In colored individuals, the brindle pattern is preferred. Black brindle, red, fawn and tricolor are also acceptable. Tick markings in white coat are undesirable, and blue and liver are highly undesirable.

The Standard of the Miniature Bull Terrier is the same as that of the Bull Terrier with the exception of the following: SIZEĀ : Height should not exceed 14 inches. There should be an impression of substance to size of dog. There is no weight limit. Dog should at all times be balanced.

Size
For standard variety, there are neither weight nor height limits, but there should be the impression of maximum substance for size of dog consistent with quality and sex.
